In the fifth edition of Freeware Friday, flight simulation guru and Youtuber Novawing24 continues his countdown of top 10 freeware add-ons for FSX: Steam Edition:
Tim “Piglet” Conrad is one of the legends of the freeware developers and specializes in bringing the weird and wonderful to our simulated skies. His library is extensive and covers off projects that are not covered anywhere else (including some that never made it past the test stage or even off the drawing board).
Initially designed to operate out of very small and rough strips, the OV-10 served as a light attack aircraft in its hey-day and continues today as observation and mission control fighting fires in California. The OV-10 is a great example of an unusual and specialized aircraft that showcases his impressive attention to detail along with some of his trademarks. This little turboprop includes a variety of models and paint schemes, which is equally at home low and slow as well as in a high speed dash. The OV-10 is a lot of fun to fly and models many of the unique characteristics of this aircraft exceptionally well (high-speed stall anyone?)
Please note Dovetail Games does not provide customer support for freeware add-ons.
