How To Install Liveries & Repaints in FSX: Steam Edition Add-Ons

One of the greatest things about PC flight simulation is that you can customize pretty much everything. Since the days of FS9, simmers have taken great joy in creating and sharing repaints for countless varieties of aircraft. FSX: Steam Edition is no different, however the process for installing liveries and repaints has changed slightly from boxed FSX.

The following video tutorial by our friend Novawing24 shows you how to install liveries and repaints in FSX: Steam Edition aircraft add-ons:

  • I don’t know if this is a recent thing… but I spent literally hours banging my head against the wall trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. I followed ALL of the steps meticulously in this article… this article completely FAILS to mention that in the STEAM version, there is also another folder called \DLC\379233\SimObjects\Airplanes\\ which ALSO contains an aircraft.cfg file, which MUST be updated to reflect the changes in the aircraft.cfg file from the bloody regular old Airplanes directory that everyone knows exists in FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\\ folder. Please, for the love of god, update this tutorial.

  • Hi Artemis,
